The Neighborhood Brat Meets The Rottweiler Puppy
Today the neighbor's child came over to see the Rottweiler puppy. I didn't want to let Corey see him, but Mike said it was best to introduce them when we were able to supervise the visitation. Mike could be right, of course. But Corey isn't very well behaved and it is hard to make him understand right from wrong.
The puppy played with Corey for about 15 or 20 minutes then he laid down to take a nap. Corey didn't understand the need for the nap and he started shouting at the puppy, which seemed to frighten my little guy. Mike tried to explain to Cory that loud voices and noises are scary to puppies and asked him to whisper, instead.
Puppies like babies need to sleep a lot because they have a lot of growing to do. Corey needed help settling down and so I let him rub the puppy's back while my baby laid snuggled on my lap sleeping.
Eventually, Susan came out in the yard and yelled for Corey to go home. I will have to go over and talk to Susan and Corey together about the proper way to treat the new little puppy.
